Most homeowners have a room they have been meaning to fix for years: a bathroom that still has the original finishes, a bedroom that never felt right, or a ceiling that has carried a brown ring since the last big storm. Roofshire Construction does interior remodeling across greater Houston, and we take on the inside of the house with the same plain approach we bring to a roof.
One customer had us replace their roof and then come back to remodel a bathroom. You do not need a roof job to hire us for a remodel, though. If the roof is fine and you just want a room done, call and tell us what you have in mind, and we will come out and give you a free estimate.
If water has come in from above, we find and fix the source first. More on that below. For everything else, the work starts with what you want the room to be.

Remodeling Work We Take On
Bathroom remodels
A bathroom is a remodel a customer has hired us for. We walk the room with you, talk through what you want to keep and what you want gone, and give you a free estimate before any work starts. The estimate lays out the work we have talked about, so you know what you are agreeing to before anything comes apart.
Rooms damaged by a roof leak
When a roof leaks long enough, the damage shows up inside: stained or sagging ceilings, drywall that has gone soft, paint that bubbles, trim that has swelled, and floors that have taken water from above. We put those rooms back together. That can mean new drywall on the ceiling and walls, new flooring where the old floor was ruined, and the finish work that makes it a room again.
Reworking a room
Some remodels are about more than new surfaces. Squaring up an old room or rebuilding a wall that has been damaged is framing work, and we can do it as part of the remodel instead of you bringing in a separate contractor. We talk the plan through with you before the work starts.
Floors, walls and finish together
Most remodels are not one trade. A room usually needs some combination of drywall, flooring and finish work, and the order those happen in matters. Running them as one project with one contractor keeps the schedule straight and puts one person in charge of how the finished room looks.
Planning the Room Before the Estimate
A remodel goes better when the big decisions are made before the work starts. You do not need a finished design to call us, but it helps to think through a few things ahead of the visit.
- What bothers you about the room now. A dated look, worn surfaces, damage, or a space that does not work for how you use it. Each one leads to a different scope.
- What stays. Some rooms need everything replaced. In others, the floor or the walls are in good shape and only part of the room needs work.
- The look you want. Photos of rooms you like are a good starting point for talking through finishes and colors.
- A budget range. Knowing it up front lets us talk about where the money does the most good in that room.
- Timing. If you have a date in mind, tell us, so we can talk about how the work fits around it.
We will look at the room with you, answer what we can on the spot, and then give you a free estimate. If something you want is outside the work we do, we tell you at the visit so you can plan for it.
When Water Came Through the Ceiling
If you are remodeling because water got in, fix the roof before the room. Ceiling stains do not always sit right under the hole in the roof. Water runs along the decking, the rafters and the top of the drywall before it drips, so the stain can show up several feet from where the roof is actually open. Fixing the ceiling without finding that path means the stain comes back after the next heavy rain. A free roof inspection finds where the water is getting in, and from there it is either a roof repair or, when the roof is past repair, a roof replacement.
If the leak came from storm damage and you are thinking about an insurance claim, we explain how the claim process works. Whether to file is your decision, and the claim is between you and your insurance company. If water is standing in the house or materials are soaked through, that needs a water-mitigation company to dry it out before any remodeling starts. Once the room is dry, we take it from there.
What a Remodel With Us Looks Like
It starts with a visit. We come out, walk the room with you and listen to what bothers you about it now and what you want it to be. We measure, look at the ceiling, walls and floor, and talk through the options. Then you get a free estimate that spells out the work.
Once the work starts, we stay in touch at every step until the job is done, so you are never guessing what happens tomorrow. When the room is finished, we clean up and make sure you are happy with the finished job.
