Framing is the part of a project nobody sees once it is finished, and the part everything else depends on. If a wall is out of plumb, the drywall cracks along the seams. If a header is undersized, it sags and the door below it starts to stick. If a rafter has rotted from an old leak, the roof dips over it no matter how good the shingles are. Getting the frame right is what lets the rest of the job look right for years.
Roofshire Construction frames for remodels and repairs across greater Houston. We are a roofing contractor with a general contracting side, which means the framing and the finish work are handled by our team. The drywall, siding and flooring that go over the frame come from the same contractor, so nothing gets lost between trades.
Every job starts the same way: we come out, look at what you want built or what has failed, and give you a free estimate. You get a clear picture of the work before anything is torn out, and we stay in touch at every step until it is done.

Framing Work We Do
Interior walls for remodels
Reframing a damaged wall, squaring up an old room or closing in a doorway all start with new or rearranged wall framing. We frame the walls and set the openings for doors so the finish work has a solid base. Larger projects that cover several rooms are on our interior remodeling page.
Roof framing and decking
Rafters and roof decking take the worst of a slow roof leak. When we take off the old roofing on a roof replacement, we fix what we find underneath before the new roof goes on, so the new shingles sit on sound wood. We tell you what we find.
Repairs to damaged framing
Water that gets past a roof for long enough reaches the wood. Rafters, roof decking, top plates and the framing around windows and doors can soften and rot after a slow leak that nobody caught. When damaged framing turns up behind a wall or a ceiling, we cut it back to sound wood and replace or reinforce it before closing it up again. If the cause was the roof, we fix the roof first with a roof repair so the new wood stays dry.
Framing that comes with exterior work
Tearing off old siding sometimes shows sheathing or studs that took on water over the years. Because we do siding and roofing too, we can repair what is underneath while the wall is already open, rather than covering it with new siding and hoping it holds.
How a Framing Job Runs
First we look at the space with you and talk through what you want: where the new wall goes and what has to stay where it is. For a repair, we look at what failed and why. Then you get a free estimate that spells out the work.
Once you are ready to go ahead, the crew frames the work. This is the stage to change your mind about a doorway or a closet, because moving a stud is easy and moving a finished wall is not. When the frame is right, the job moves on to the next stage, whether that is drywall, siding, roofing or all three.
We stay in touch at every step until the job is done. At the end, we clean up and make sure you are happy with the finished job.
What to have ready before we visit
You do not need drawings to get an estimate for most remodels. A rough idea helps: which walls you would like to move or add, how you plan to use the space, and any photos or sketches you have saved. For a repair, tell us when you first saw the problem and whether it gets worse after rain. If an old leak is involved, that history points us to the part of the roof to check first, and our free roof inspection covers it.
We will tell you what we can see and what we can only know once the wall or ceiling is open. We tell you what we find.
