Free Roof Inspections
An inspection is worth the drive only if it is thorough. We look at every slope, the flashing, the vents and the roof edges, and we walk you through what we found before we leave.
Roof inspections, replacement and storm repairs for Sealy homes, in town and out on the farm and ranch roads around it.
Roofing Sealy homes is a different job from roofing a big suburban subdivision. Sealy is a small city, about 7,550 people in the 2024 Census estimate, and still the largest town in Austin County, with farm and ranch land around it on every side. Houses run from older frame homes near downtown to newer builds on acreage outside town.
The town grew up around the railroad in the late 1870s and was named for George Sealy, a Galveston businessman tied to the line. Today I-10 carries most people past it, and SH 36 runs through town on its way between Bellville to the north and Wallis to the south. Just east, the interstate crosses the Brazos River near San Felipe.
We travel to Sealy from our office in north Houston, roughly an hour and five minutes out I-10 past Katy. It is a real trip, and we make it for an inspection that costs you nothing and an estimate that is free as well.

An inspection is worth the drive only if it is thorough. We look at every slope, the flashing, the vents and the roof edges, and we walk you through what we found before we leave.
On an older Sealy house, a tear-off can turn up decking that has carried more than one roof. We replace the boards that are damaged, put the new roof on and clean up the site before we head back east.
Storms crossing the open country west of the Brazos can carry strong straight-line wind and hail. If one has passed over your place, we check for missing, creased and bruised shingles and show you the damage.
Lap siding on an older house takes decades of sun and wind-driven rain. We replace boards that have split, warped or rotted, and if the roof is being done too, both can happen on the same project.
Everything else we do is on the services page.
Sealy is old enough that some houses near downtown have been reroofed several times, sometimes with a new layer laid over the last. Stacked layers add weight and hide whatever is wrong underneath, so on those homes we expect to tear down to the deck and look.
Out on the acreage, many homes are newer and set well back from the road, often with no other house close by. A roof on an open lot gets the full force of the wind from every direction, and the far side of it is a side nobody sees from the porch.
Sealy sits far enough inland that hurricanes reach it weakened, but not so far that they never arrive. A tropical system that comes ashore on the upper Texas coast can still push heavy rain and gusty wind up the Brazos valley for a day or more.
The more regular threat is the spring and summer thunderstorm. They build quickly over the prairie, and the hail and downbursts they bring do not need a named storm to strip shingles. Long, humid summers then work on whatever the storm loosened.
Being an hour out does not change how the job works. We inspect, show you the damage and give you a free estimate that spells out the work. If a storm is behind it, filing a claim is your choice and the claim is between you and your insurer; we can meet the adjuster at the house, and if the insurer approves the scope, we build to it.
We also work in Wallis, just south on SH 36, and back toward Houston in Katy.
The best value is a roof that suits the house and is installed correctly, with sound decking, good flashing and proper ventilation. A cheaper shingle on a well-built roof often outlasts a better shingle put on carelessly. We go over the options with you at the free estimate.
Be wary of anyone who will not get on the roof, cannot show you the damage they describe, or pushes you to sign the same day. Ask to see photos of what they found and to have the work spelled out in the estimate. We show you the damage and leave the decision with you.
An average does not tell you much about your own house. The roof size, pitch, number of old layers, decking repairs and the shingle you choose set the price. We do a free inspection and give you a free estimate that spells out the work.
On a shingle roof, leaks are stopped at the source rather than coated over. That usually means resealing or replacing flashing, swapping cracked pipe boots, or replacing damaged shingles so they lie flat and seal again. We find the leak during a free inspection and tell you what it needs.
Yes. We travel to Sealy from our office in north Houston, about an hour and five minutes away, and we work in town and on the acreage around it.
If there was hail or strong wind, it is worth a look, because damage on the back or upper slopes is easy to miss from the ground. Our inspection is free, and if we find storm damage we explain how a claim works so you can decide whether to file.

Jhon (this is how he spells his name) and Britt were great to work with during our roof replacement, they stayed involved during the back and forth with the insurance company to make sure we were treated fairly. The roof was installed with high quality materials by qualified installers. Jhon, Britt or Marlon was always available when needed. The roof job went so well we allowed them to perform a bathroom remodel job for us. I would recommend Roofshire Construction for all of your roofing or remodeling jobs.
Love my new roof, very polite and well mannered crew they cleaned up nicely. I got my roof replaced all through my insurance company when they showed up, I didn't even know their was damage my roof wasn't that old, but I had so much damage and they replaced it with a brand new roof.
Wonderful to work with. They worked with the insurance company and the HOA. We have solar panels and they have a great team that handled lifting and reinstalling the panels so that the roofing team could repair and shingle the roof. The work done is top quality. They whole team, yes that includes sales and every one, communicated with us every step of the way. It was great to see the pride in workmanship as well.
