Storm Damage Roofing
Anahuac sits on open water with little to slow a Gulf storm down. After one comes through, we inspect the roof for missing and lifted shingles, bent flashing and water getting in at the edges, and show you what we found.
Storm inspections, insurance-claim roofing and new roofs for homes in Anahuac and around Trinity Bay.
Anahuac is a long way from our north Houston office, about an hour and a quarter east, and we make the trip for roofing in Anahuac because coastal storms do not care how far away the nearest roofer is. The town is the seat of Chambers County, on the shore of Trinity Bay where the Trinity River comes in.
It is a small place with a big history. A Mexican garrison stood here in the early 1830s, and the clashes with settlers in 1832, known as the Anahuac Disturbances, were among the events that led to the Texas Revolution. Today the town calls itself the alligator capital of Texas and holds Gatorfest every year.
Since the drive is long, we look at the whole roof while we are there. The inspection and the estimate are free. Call (832) 995-0575 to set it up, and hablamos espaƱol.

After a coastal storm, many Anahuac homeowners are dealing with an insurance claim. You decide whether to file and the claim stays between you and your insurer, but we can meet your adjuster at the house and, if the claim is approved, do the work to the approved scope.
Wind and salt air wear a bay-front roof steadily, even between storms. A free inspection tells you where things stand, so you can fix small problems before the next storm season turns them into big ones.
When a roof has taken too many storms, we tear it off to the decking, replace the wood that is damaged and install a new roof. Before the crew heads back to Houston, they clean up the yard and the drive.
Everything else we do is on the services page.
Few towns in our service area sit as close to open water as Anahuac. The bay brings steady wind, salt in the air and humidity that rarely lets up, and all three work on shingles, flashing and fasteners year after year.
Being near the mouth of the Trinity River also means a wet, low landscape around town, with marshes and rice fields stretching out from it. On a house surrounded by that kind of ground, keeping water off the roof and away from the walls matters more than usual.
Chambers County took the full force of Hurricane Ike in 2008, and storms have come ashore along this part of the coast many times since. A coastal storm can loosen a whole slope of shingles in one night, or leave damage so small nobody sees it until a ceiling stains months later.
If your roof has been through a named storm, a free inspection is worth the call. For how a claim works from start to finish, see our insurance claim roofing page.
We come out from north Houston on I-10, then down State Highway 61 or the farm roads into town. It is a real trip for us, so we try to get everything done in as few visits as possible.
If you are closer to Baytown than to Anahuac, see our Baytown page.
Yes. Anahuac is a long drive east of our office in north Houston, and we make it for inspections, storm repairs and roof replacements. Looking at the roof costs you nothing.
Our roof inspections are free, including in Anahuac. We get on the roof, look at the shingles, flashing and vents, and show you what we found.
It depends on the size and pitch of the roof, how many layers come off, how much decking needs replacing and the material you choose. We give you a free written estimate after we have seen the roof.
Catching damage early is usually the least expensive route, since a small repair costs less than a leak that has run for months. If the roof is past repair, we will tell you so. If storm damage is involved, your policy may apply, and you decide whether to file.
Catch the water inside with a bucket and move anything valuable out of the way. Stay off the roof in wet or windy weather. Then call us to find where the water is getting in and fix it.
Yes. We can meet your adjuster at the house to look at the roof together. You decide whether to file, the claim is between you and your insurer, and if the scope is approved, we do the work to that scope.

Jhon (this is how he spells his name) and Britt were great to work with during our roof replacement, they stayed involved during the back and forth with the insurance company to make sure we were treated fairly. The roof was installed with high quality materials by qualified installers. Jhon, Britt or Marlon was always available when needed. The roof job went so well we allowed them to perform a bathroom remodel job for us. I would recommend Roofshire Construction for all of your roofing or remodeling jobs.
Brittany and Jhon are professional and very helpful through the process. They walked me step-by-step, especially with filing a claim with my insurance. Their construction crew worked diligently and the outcome of their was stunning. My new roof and gutters elevated my house. each project was finished within a day. Plus with installation of a roof fan my attic is amazingly cooler. In addition, I had some water damage and Brittany was on it in getting a mitigation team out; Patty is great. I appreciate all their hardwrk in taking care of my prized possession: My two-story house.
Wonderful to work with. They worked with the insurance company and the HOA. We have solar panels and they have a great team that handled lifting and reinstalling the panels so that the roofing team could repair and shingle the roof. The work done is top quality. They whole team, yes that includes sales and every one, communicated with us every step of the way. It was great to see the pride in workmanship as well.
